Only a qualified electronics technician can understand the way a television receiver works and how better to improve the signal it needs to function properly.
What can we offer you:
- Digital & Analogue TV Aerial installation & repairs to new and existing homes.
- Installation & Servicing of distribution systems such as hotels or retirement villages.
- Extra TV points and Piped TV Channels (DVD or Pay TV through your home)
Digital TV – What do I Need?
Digital TV reception is more about quality than quantity. Analogue TV reception is fairly simple, provide signal at a certain level and you’re done. Digital is more involved. Digital signal is made up of streams of data, if too much of this stream is corrupted or missing completely than you will experience image break-up or crackle. Quality is easily measured by our technicians using digital signal meters with True BER measurement. BER or Bit Error Rate is the important measurement to ensure that your digital signal is presented to your television receiver in the way it was intended, this guarantees break-up free SD or HD viewing.
Good analogue reception is not an indicator that digital will work without any problems. Most systems need some form of attention be it to do with the aerial, cabling or even something simple like the flylead.
Our staff are happy to discuss your needs in this area so give us a call.
