Making the right choice in a Digital TV Reception Specialist;

  1. Governement Endorsed Installer - You can find a list here. An Endorsed Installer has met certain Government Requirements such as experience and testing equipment.
  2. Licensed Contractor - We are licensed with the Queensland Electrical Safety Office, this means you, your equipment and your home are always safe.
  3. Insured - We carry Electrical Contractors Insurance, should the worst happen you are fully protected.
  4. Dealing with a Company - As the change to Digital TV gets closer we are seeing more and more one man bands and non-local installers appearing in the area. There is no guarantee these 'installers' will still be around after the change-over occurs for back up service. We have been trading in Toowoomba since 1961, you can't get more local than that!
  5. Qualified - Trade Qualified Professionals; 4 years at Tafe/Skillstech, no weekend courses on the Gold Coast.

Toowoomba and it’s surrounds are a wide and diverse area with multiple TV transmitters and various ‘difficult’ reception areas – This makes the choice of aerial serviceperson all the more important. Only a qualified electronics technician can understand the way a television receiver works and how better to improve the signal it needs to function properly.

What can we offer you:

  1. Digital TV Reception systems to new and existing homes, servicing of existing systems.
  2. Installation & Servicing of MATV distribution systems such as in Hotels, Nursing Homes, Hospitals and Retirement Villages.
  3. VAST Remote Area Satelite TV system.

Digital TV reception is more about quality than quantity.  Analogue TV reception is fairly simple, provide signal at a certain level and you’re done.  Digital is more involved.  Digital signal is made up of streams of data, if too much of this stream is corrupted or missing completely than you will experience image break-up or crackle.  Quality is easily measured by our technicians using digital signal meters with True BER measurement.  BER or Bit Error Rate is the important measurement to ensure that your digital signal is presented to your television receiver in the way it was intended, this guarantees break-up free SD/HD viewing.  Good analogue reception is not a reliable indicator that digital will work without any problems.  Most systems need some form of attention be it to do with the aerial, cabling or even something simple like the flylead. Our staff are happy to discuss your needs in this area so give us a call.

If you are from out of town check the coverage maps to see which transmitter provides signal best to your area or see a nation-wide listing here.
