Home Theatre – what is it?
Essentially it is using an area of your home to view and enjoy movies or other media.

A home theatre or media room is different for everyone, there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution.  Many people enjoy a dedicated room for their theatre and many others use an existing lounge or family room; both can achieve the same great results.

A home theatre comprises basically of three main parts –
- The Picture: Projector and screen or large format television such as an LCD, LED or Plasma.
- The Sound: Surround sound speakers with subwoofer or even stereo speakers.
- The Installation: Mounting everything in the right spot, concealed wiring and optimising the final setup.
The way we build your theatre depends primarily on what you are trying to achieve with the room and the equipment you are using.

Can I only have a theatre room if I am building a new home?

No, most of our installations are to existing homes.  Although it is easier to wire a room during construction our talented technicians can get cabling into most places making a theatre room achievable in almost any room or home.

Does it matter where I have purchased my home theatre equipment? Can you still install it?

No, it does not matter where the equipment came from or whether it is brand new or a system you have owned for many years.
We are technicians, not salespeople.  We specialise in this so we don’t try to sell you something different to what you have already bought.  We will use what you have to the best of its ability and get you a great result.  We can however provide advice pre-purchase to cut through the hype and techno-jargon so you can make sure you get equipment that will perform the way you want it to.

Why use a licensed electrical contractor for my installation?

An electrical contractor has to carry an electrical contractor’s license.  This can only be obtained after a certain amount of training (trade certificate or greater) and it guarantees your installer is insured in the same way an electrician has to be.  Would you use anyone other than an electrician for your power points?  When performing an installation we are in the ceiling, walls and under floors with electrical, phone and data services.  Using an electrical contractor ensures you are safe, your family is safe and your home is safe.  An electrical contractor’s license is renewed annually and issued by the Queensland Government Electrical Safety Office ensuring training and insurance is kept up to date.

Call us and book a time to come in and talk about what you want to achieve and how we can go about best meeting your needs.  If you are building a home bring in your plans.
